The dark and quiet dragon followed a group of young friends into the Circus. They did the Pool Pull and she did the Pool Pull, they went for food, she went for food, they danced, and she danced, they went to a few shows and she went to a few shows sitting just behind them...but no one noticed her or spoke to her until she swore loudly and pulled her foot out of the pile of melting icecream left in the walkway by some unfortunate ice creamless soul. It was cold and now it was all over her wrappings, and sticky.

'Hey who are you! You've been following us!' yelled the leader of the group.

The dark dragon stared at them for moment, then smiled a very lopsided grin. 'You won't like it,' she said.

'So why are you following us?'

'It's the Trickmurk Circus...and I am Shadow. I thought I would see how long it took you to figure that out!' Shadow laughed and sauntered away to the whispers and puzzled expressions of the group.

There, there was her next target! She sped up to stand behind another group of young dragons out looking for a good time. This was the most fun she'd had since she'd left her former Lair and mate to strike out on her own and found her new Lairmates loved fun and tricks as much as she did. THIS was HER kind of Festival!
