Biography
Winter Crystalline
Bio: Winter had barely emerged from his egg when he heard a scream, and saw the two Tundras who would have raised him, being consumed by a rippling, black monster. Another Tundra, who he later learned was his older sister, scooped him up in her arms and ran to safety, the beast hot on her heels. She managed to tuck him into a hidden snowbank before collapsing dead, succumbing to the Shade’s corruption.
His next memory was of armoured warriors stumbling upon him. Unsure what to do, they brought him before their deity, the Icewarden, in the Fortress of Ends.
“His family was taken from him, far too early,” He decreed, “but under my guidance, he will never again lose someone he loves.”
The Icewarden took Winter as his personal protégé, teaching him to manipulate snow and ice to his will. He learned how to strike down Shade-touched beasts, like the one that had killed his family, and in time, the Icewarden felt confident enough to release him into the world.
Winter found a growing Wind clan, struggling with an infestation of Shade-touched in their territory. He volunteered to join them and drive out the threat. Today, he is the clan’s top strategist and general. He fights not just for his family, but for all dragons who would come after him, so that no hatchling would ever suffer the same fate he had.
