P. Lovecraft A friendly, carefree, although at times airheaded dragon, Iranon is tasked with caring for the hatchlings of the clan. He delights them with songs and tales from his old home, a land not heard of on Sornieth. As the hatchlings grow and leave the clan they come to know that such a land doesn't exist, that it couldn't exist. But it's far kinder to let Iranon live in his memories, telling his tales as he tends to the younglings. "I am Iranon, and come from Aira, a far city that I recall only dimly but seek to find again. I am a singer of songs that I learned in the far city, and my calling is to make beauty with the things remembered of childhood. My wealth is in the little memories and dreams, and in hopes that I sing in gardens when the moon is tender and the west wind stirs the lotos-buds." |

You're seated among the hatchlings as Iranon starts in on a story of an old royal family and an evil curse that follows the bloodline to the death. You notice a gear dangling from a chain around his neck and ask about it. He hands it over, telling you about a secret music box that the gear is a key to, but you don't really believe it.
