______ Chica was born in the Zephyr Steppes region of the Windswept Plateau to a handsome Tundra and beautiful fae. She hatched first and watched with curiosity as her sister Bubbles hatched soon after. As the older sister, Chica took it upon herself to protect Bubbles at all cost. One day when her parents didn't return from hunting, she was scared. The days passed and they never returned. Soon the hunger got to her and she attempted to leave to find food. After being unsuccessful, she wearily cuddled up with her sister, who at this point was crying nonstop and prepared to either die by beastclan or of starvation. That's when an angel in the form of a bogsneak appeared.

______ The bogsneak took them in as her own and raised them. Chica considered her to be mama and loved her very much. She soon grew and so did her sister who became the leader of the lair with Chica being deputy. Chica one day while snacking on some particularly delicious bugs was interrupted by a handsome young guardian who introduced himself as Palaemon and soon they fell in love. They had many beautiful offspring and everything seemed perfect.

______ That is until the night of the fire, it was late and everyone but the night patrol, who included Palaemon were sleeping. Chica was awoken by a strange dream and decided to go see her mate to hopefully shake of the ominous feelings it had created. She delicately fluttered from the lair and heard a commotion coming from the border shared with the Ashfall Waste. Without thinking she rushed forward to see a small scuffle below. Instead of returning to warn her sister she rushed in to see a small squadron of beastclan attacking the night gaurd. The dragons were being over run. Chica froze in the air, watching the horror unfurl as lair mates were being torn asunder. The beasts taking lit torches and setting the ground ablaze. She snapped back to reality and quickly darted her eyes around for her mate. There, he was limping towards the lair, trying unsuccessfully trying to stomp out the flames as he went.

______ With tears starting to well up in her eyes she quickly flew down. He was startled but quickly realized who she was. He was bleeding badly and his once strong blue wings were in tatters. With a sigh he warned Chica to go back to the lair and get everyone away, the fire was going to consume the entire lair soon. He collapsed and Chica openly cried as he gave his last breath. She looked up to see the fire spreading quickly, she almost froze again but her mates words echoed in her ears. She quickly flew and managed to warn the lair just as the flames were starting to grow close.

______ Her and Bubbles managed to get most of the dragons to flee including their mama. They flew and flew until the landed in Arcane territory. Chica nearly crash landed when the coast was clear. She was both physically and emotionally exhausted, losing her home and mate in one night. Her sister came over and hugged her, knowing what had happened by that point. Chica lost it, the most depressing and mournful cry being emitted by the tiny dragon. After she had cried for what seemed like hours, Bubbles gently lifted her chin and asked her if she was willing to go with the remaining scouts to look for a safe place to live. Chica agreed and after wiping the remaining moisture from her eyes she took off.

______ Chica with the help of two other dragons managed to find an abandoned cavern in the Starwood Strand that would comfortably house her and her companions. They soon settled in and we're able to rest and pick up the pieces of their shattered life. She soon met another male guardian, they slowly fell in love. His understanding, patience, and love helping the delicate fae recover slowly. Today, she is still very wary of outsiders and will probably never get over her fear of fire, but time heals all wounds.
