______ MoonCatcher was traveling with her family to the Windsinger's land one year, when a large crowd of dragons caught her eye. It was then that she first discovered the Swimp clan, putting on yet another one of their extravagant magic shows. The show went spectacularly well, and was so inspiring to her that she convinced her family to let her stay with them. Discovering her unknown talent for magic took a bit of work, as harmonizing isn't a very well known magical ability. The clan repeatedly noticed her natural ability to care for children, and so offered her the role of nanny and she gratefully accepted. She herself had several children of her own, many of them going off to see the world once they were old enough.
______ Well, except for one.
______ It was a show day. One of the biggest days of the year, when a large crowd of dragons came from far and wide the see the Swimp clan perform. She was in charge of assisting the Ringmaster, and so had to take her attention away from the group of hatchlings she was supervising. She thought she had left them in good care, but in all of the excitement and movement going on, one of them became separated and was lost in the crowd. It was such a young hatchling; so young that MoonCatcher hadn't even named them yet. She was devastated when she realized what had happened, and prayed to the Windsinger that the hatchling was able to find its way to him safely, if not back to the clan. She swore she would never turn her back on her hatchlings again, and told the Clan Leader to assign a new assistant.
