Personality Born entirely mute, Whisper is an enigma to all who came across him. No one can tell what he's thinking and he prefers it that way. As the clan's official secret-keeper, his permanent silence is more of a blessing than a curse. He prefers to keep to himself and his home is located in the deepest parts of Ravenguard's caverns. Yet, his door is always open to anyone needing to divulge a secret. Notes:

Due to his muteness, Whisper is the subject of several local legends within the clan. Some say his vocal cords were removed when he became a secret-keeper. Others state that he suffered a grievous injury to the throat in his youth, but was unable to speak even after a miraculous recovery. Still others claim that he isn't mute at all and remains silent by choice. Whisper himself doesn't acknowledge the rumors but explains to anyone who asks that it is, in fact, a birth defect that rendered him mute.

Even though he almost never uses it, Whisper is proficient in dragon sign language. Besides writing, it is his only form of communication. Some of the clan's administration asked him if he would teach the skill to the hatchlings and he grudgingly agreed. His classes are conducted in near-complete silence, but the hatchlings seem to enjoy it.
