When one thinks of an example for the term "it takes a village," they are encouraged to think of Atalo, who was largely raised by Clan Belladonna in its youth. Officially adopted by the alchemist Empyre, Atalo found himself exposed to all types of dragons.

Nervous by nature, he has a hard time interacting with really anyone, has outbursts of excitement when he finds someone with similar interests, and otherwise largely keeps to himself simply because anxiety alone isolates him. Empyre does his best to encourage his son to get out of their shop once in a while and make some friends.

Because of Atalo's nervous temperament, he often is picked on by the more aggressive dragons even in his adulthood, and when he is, Hemlock is quick to stand at his defense, even if only to buy Atalo time to get away.

Hemlock isn't very good at comforting Atalo, but does his best anyway.
