Arbol is the clan’s accountant, responsible for money transactions, vault logs and anything dealing with the clan’s finances. He’s an important member of the clan, his work keeping the clan from nose diving straight into bankruptcy, seeing as there are a few reckless spenders in the clan. He serves as a member of the council and reports his numbers to make sure everything is in order.

- Hatchling Biography -
As a hatchling, Arbol was a nervous, jittery little thing. His birth colony was a large one, thriving amid the tundra of the Southern Icefield. There were plenty of other young faes for him to grow up with, but he was always the one left behind when the others went to play, saying he was too slow to keep up with them. Which he was, Arbol could admit that, but it still hurt to have it thrown in his face constantly, though he was too afraid to ever confront his tormentors about it. But he was also afraid of telling his parents, as both of them were prominent members of the colony and would be ashamed at having such a weak son. Thus his childhood was full of bullies, low self-esteem and extreme loneliness.

- Adolescent Biography -
As Arbol grew, his nervous nature remained and the bullying only got worse. The fae decided that he wouldn’t be able to last much longer in the colony if he continued on like this. Instead of telling his parents of his real reason for leaving, he told them that he was ready to strike out on his own and find out what he really wanted out of life and that traveling was the best way for him to accomplish such a task.

His parents, who had traveled much in their younger years as well, supported him wholeheartedly. With their blessing, Arbol set off, starting his journey for what he hoped would be a better life.

But it’s a dangerous world and Arbol was not a fighter by any means, so most of his early traveling was done fearfully and cautiously.

Eventually, Arbol grew more confident in traversing Sornieth and figuring that he should probably find a way to make money, became a dragon for hire. Most of his skills fell under the “mundane and tedious” category, but he managed to land customers pretty quickly, so he supposed they weren’t too mundane. Or maybe they were and that’s why he was hired to do them because others didn’t want to.

Well, if they were gonna pay him for it, he wasn’t about to complain.

- Adult Biography -
Eventually, Arbol was hired by Dak, who was looking for someone trustworthy to handle his clan’s finances. Asking around, he didn’t get much information on this Dak or his clan, so he was hesitant, but he hadn’t had a customer in some time and he needed the gold, so he accepted.

When he was finally brought to the lair, asking for the job, his first meeting was a disaster. He was terrified and nervous and he couldn't speak without stuttering and he resigned himself to the fact that he probably wouldn't get the job after such a terrible first impression. But the guardians only smiled warmly at him and told him all of the duties he'd be in charge of. They showed him around and gave him one of the guest quarters, since he had only signed on to be a temporary fill in until they found someone else.

But he found that he didn't want to leave. He'd been alone so long and it was dangerous for a fae to be by themselves plus everyone here was just so nice to him. Well, mostly, but jerks are everywhere, he supposed.

It was all so unlike his experiences back home.

However, he was too scared to ask to stay. He didn't want to come off as entitled or annoying, so he didn't say anything. But Pleo, to his immense relief, confusion and horror, somehow knew what he wanted and suggested to the leaders that he become a permanent fixture at the lair.

Naturally, the leaders of course said yes and carved out his own personal den in celebration of his joining.

Now the clan's permanent accountant, Arbol finds that most of his time is spent trying to corral the more reckless spenders into not wasting the clan’s resources. Though Arbol is nowhere near intimidating or authoritative, so it can be a quite taxing.

But he’s found help in the form of Tiakken, who can definitely be intimidating if the situation calls for it.

He often works with the pearlcatcher, whose own work often aligns with Arbol’s. Tiakken often comes in and he and Arbol will sit down, check over their numbers, and organize their logs before they go off to meetings to report their work.

While Arbol has settled into the clan, he's still a bit of a nervous wreck. He's very shy and usually can't look someone in the eye, so his gaze is constantly flitting between their nose or their ears or anywhere else that means he won't have to look into their eyes.

But despite this, Arbol likes his job, and the new friends he’s made because of it. Though some would think of it as tedious, he doesn't mind. Not at all.

- Additional Notes -
➤ Arbol tends to resort to hiding behind his hood when overwhelmed.

➤ Arbol has a habit of greeting others with a forehead touch, which is something he grew up with and carried over from his birth clan.
