Mild, compassionate Floret spends a great deal of her time hovering silently at her mother’s elbow; a spot she has occupied since birth. She is much like Qua in manner, but in mind she is her father’s daughter. Her keen intellect makes her an apt apprentice, as her head is a virtual catalogue of remedial herbs and mending spells, but it is her tender heart that makes her healing ability exceptional.

For the first leg of her life, many of her clanmates believed that Floret was a mute, and it was only when she began asking them if she could have a look at their injuries please that they learned otherwise. Floret’s soft spokenness belies her iron will, and it is to the danger of anyone who underestimates her to threaten her kith or kin. She is a fierce mage in her own right, and if provoked will scorch a menace to cinders as easily as she might knit together a tear in their hide.

Given her reserved nature, Floret’s friends outside of her family are few. Of late she has taken to helping Motley with the hatchlings, as he could use the extra set of claws and is content to keep up both hers and his own end of the conversation. There are also rumors spreading among the clan’s whisperers that she and Bodkin are making eyes at one another, but of course neither of them will say a word about it.
