Petalfur

Radish's bestest-friend-in-the-whole-world-ever-ever, as Radish constantly reminds her, Tundra dragons' memories being what they are. This smallish Tundra gardener is also the insect-hunting buddy (she'd rather eat the plants they were hiding in, but catching them is fun), a living palanquin, and general dogsbody for the lair's tiny red queen. Petalfur doesn't seem to mind, as it means something interesting and 'new' is always happening.

Radish's obsessive grooming of her large (to a Fae) friend's shaggy pelt keeps Petalfur looking her best, no matter how much mud and how many burrs she manages to collect in a day. (This can be quite a lot.) Occasionally, Radish has been unearthed from Petalfur's extra-fluffy winter pelt in mid-nap, after Petal forgot she was there and scratched at the large 'burr' under her fur... Or sat on her. Luckily, the tiny Fae is tougher than she looks.

Petal gives the impression of being slow of thinking even for a Tundra, and lacks the aptitude for magic of many of her kind. Although she is impressively tough and strong, for the most part this strength is directed toward landscaping the areas around the lair; she is a gardening genius. However, she takes a dim view of threats to her home, her friends, and especially to Radish. (And not just because the little Fae helps keep the bugs out of Petal's beloved gardens!)
