Fuiran 		Violetta's charge is slightly more intangible than most Guardians'; her late husband was a historian, and after losing him she became motivated to preserve ancient texts, no matter their contents. For a time, she looked after the library of Coldwind Coven, and her granddaughter, Tulip. But once Tulip grew to adulthood and lost interest in keeping her grandmother and her dusty tomes company, Violetta's sadness at remaining among the community where she and Bede had lived and loved became too great, and she decided to return to Clan Greenbough, the home of her ancestress Avaya.

Here Violetta minds the Clan's library and histories, which, while not as vast a collection as those meant to support a community of bards and witches, are still of considerable size. She works under Spirakin, the Clan's primary archivist, as his apprentice - her tasks are more related to the protection and restoration of the texts. She has studied the arts of bookbinding and calligraphy, and spends long hours carefully restoring any book too old to be safely lent out and read. She and Spirakin have formed a close bond over their mutual love of the books, but she cannot abide the cloud of frogs that follows him everywhere.
