Right after being hatched, Cloud had wondered why everyone was plain. It wasn’t something odd but while in the hoard of his clan, he saw what he never realised what he had wanted to see. Apparel. It made him think about what he wanted to for his clan. Yet once he told his parents, they laughed and told him to go play with the other young dragons.

Deciding that if his parents wouldn’t support his dream, he would support himself. He left his clan and started wandering around. He went to the trading post and realised that there was so much fashion to learn about. From what Crim was constantly asking for to what Swip sold on the day to day basis. Gold, silver, copper, darksteel all in simple or ornate versions. Armor came in so many forms and metals it made his head spin.

After setting out from the trading post, he started to gather his own apparel. Being a big fan of golden things, it was no surprise when he started to dress himself in gold. Many clans thought that while his outfits were amazing, as a male it wasn’t his job to be in fashion. Disheartened, he gave up and sold all of the things that he had gathered. After that he just spent his time wandering from place to place.

Stumbling into the Windswept Plateau, Cloud realised that he had made a small mistake. The turbulence was unexpected. Never before in any area had he felt this sort of turbulence. After a very hasty landing that left him with more than a few injuries, he took the rest of the night off. When he woke, he was surrounded by piles of blankets. A few shy females looked away and the hatchlings crowded around him. Despite being there for a little while, the care and comfort was unmistakable.

Thanks to the warmth and comfort that the clan gave him, Cloud healed quickly. After explaining his problems to the leader, Cloud was accepted into clan without any hesitation. Even when he expressed his love of fashion, no one really cared. He was just the new member. Once he had adjusted, the other dragons came to him asking for fashion advice. He had a new family that accept his dreams and was letting them flourish.

Finally, after months of waiting, Cloud had achieved his dream. Many of the dragons in the clan had outfits planned. Gold, silk, and roses now adorned him and a smile graced his face. His mate, Rose, he was going shower with gifts and he always reminded that hatchlings to follow their dreams. As the days went by, he realised that maybe it was for the best that he had left home. He would never know nor would he ever want to change it.
