HISTORY Born clanless in the Fishspine Reef, Raeni grew up wandering across the Sea, seeking purpose. She eventually found it in a peaceful clan in the Flats, left broke by the prices merchants charged for food. She led a small band of dragons to take the merchant ship. There was no question from then on what her path would be. A natural leader, Raeni gathered the resources to purchase her own ship, The Queen’s Parda. Along with one of the dragons from that first clan, Kida, she began a life of piracy. As a captain, Raeni is a ferocious fighter. She abhors abuse of power, and takes seriously the protection of whatever unfortunates fall under her wing. Her loyalty, first and foremost, belongs to her crew. Little is known about her heritage, and rumours abound. One recurring idea – and one that gets just a sly smile when Raeni is questioned about it – is that she is descended from one of the siren clans of the Leviathan Trench. |
