xxRemains is reserved and introverted. The movement of books, including rapid flipping of pages, would indicate his presence in a room. He loves reading and learning and is full of facts and wisdom due to his extremely old age and the amount of time he has spent observing dragonkind. His personality is aloof and philosophical, and he can often be heard muttering to himself. Brighid, the Supreme Priestess of the Coven of the Afterlight, can often be seen approaching him for advice on her magical projects.

xxWhen not scouring the expansive Chateau library for books, Remains can most often be seen reading his treasured tomes in the garden. He loves to lounge, and is an avid napper, frequently complaining when his lairmates accidentally wake him up from a reverie. After suffering trials in his life, Remains prefers to relax instead of providing for the clan like a typical wildclaw. He is tired of the trials of battling and scavenging and just wants to rest his tired bones.
xxBecause of his traumatic death, Remains harbours a deep hatred for the Earthshaker and is more than happy to come together with the Coven to celebrate Lightweaver. In his regular life he was a typical proud wildclaw dragon, leader of his clan because he was the most powerful and the most resourceful. Now, he looks down on his previous self as being ignorant to what is most important in life. He values knowledge, solitude, and ideas. Strength and might are looked on as "small" feats to him. He views himself as easily the smartest dragon in the Chateau, although many would disagree and say that his tribulations have caused him to become narrow-minded.

xxHe hoards a few objects that are of interest to him, including books, however in his afterlife he has also come to look down upon dragonkind's tendency to obsess over material objects. He feels he has moved spiritually beyond such a life. About half the population of the Chateau looks to him as a visionary; the other half considers him a grumpy old man.
xxHe gets along best with dragons that are of a cerebral nature like himself, most especially Engravings, whom he loves deeply but will never tell her. Remains loves to talk for a long time and sometimes ghosts listening in on his spiels will fall asleep while he gives a monologue, though whether or not he notices is up for debate. He isn't concerned with getting anyone to like him, although one can certainly tell when he is lonely because he will come to brood around groups of others. He has a hard time admitting when he is wrong.
