Biography
Hailstorm was born into a small family of Guardians. They had broken off from their birth clan and wandered the Southern Icefields for months, hoping to start a clan of their own. Hailstorm was tasked mainly with caring for her younger siblings and organizing their hoard, but she was restless and yearned to strike out on her own.There came a day when she and her family came across a small clan of Faes nested in the Snowsquall Tundra. Because of the change in weather, they were allowed to stay the night. Hailstorm bonded with a Fae of her age by the name of Firespark. The two discussed their desires to carve their own paths in the world and all through the night were found chatting together.
When the time came for Hailstorm and her family to continue on their trek, she and Firespark departed as close friends. For many months afterwards, the young Guardian often wondered how he was doing and whether or not he actually left his home to start a new life.
Hailstorm's family had just arrived to the edge of the Frigid Floes when a sudden storm surprised them. It caused a nearby snowdrift to collapse, creating a surging avalanche that rapidly approached them. In an attempt to protect her siblings, Hailstorm was separated from the rest of her kin. After the event had passed, she dug her way out of the snow only to find her family has moved on without her. Tired and alone, Hailstorm travelled into the Frigid Floes.
A week after the incident, Hailstorm dug out a small cave for herself and what little belongings she had. She had barely any success at finding food and was weakened greatly because of everything that happened. The Guardian began to regret wanting to leave her family to do her own thing, and missed their warmth and comfort. That night, she curled up on the cold floor and gave up all hope.
Hailstorm awoke the next morning to find food, water and bedding. She was surprised and slightly wary as to where all this came from. Mulling over this, Hailstorm left her shabby shelter and looked around. To her delight, she caught sight of her brightly colored friend Firespark flying back with a load of prey.
Apparently, he had left home not too long after Hailstorm had departed to follow her. He confessed he had missed her and wanted to travel with her and her family, seeing as how his own scorned him for his color. The Guardian was glad to see him and welcomed his with open wings. Together, they journeyed through the Frigid Floesliving off the land and each other's company.
Two months later, Hailstorm surprised Firespark with exciting news; she was expecting hatchlings. The pair knew that traveling the world constantly would be dangerous for their children, so they decided to nest permanently. Whether it be coincidence or destiny, the home they had chosen was the very same cave they had reunited at. When they finally dug out enough space, Hailstorm laid four healthy eggs. Everyday after that, she and her mate dedicated their time to nurturing their little ones until they hatched.
Today, Hailstorm leads her clan with an iron will and a gentle claw. She cares for each of her members like her own children, and would lay everything down to protect every one of them.
