Snowy Seeker
"The Arctic has huge glaciers, frozen waterfalls and floating ice. This is scenery on which [dragon] has left no mark, which has stayed unchanged for centuries, wild, bleak, hauntingly beautiful; it is a part of [the gods'] creation we have made no effort to tame."

Some dragons are obsessed with the future. Others are stuck in the present. Then there are those who firmly believe that the only way to know where you’re going is to make sure you know where others have been.

Tyrant spends the bulk of his time studying the ancient history of Sornieth by digging for things that have been frozen and preserved. If there's ice and snow somewhere, you will find Tyrant bundled up and working hard, trying to find remains or artifacts that will help him understand where the world has been.

The dragon is utterly fascinated by the evolution of creatures and the changes made by all the planet's various different life forms over the eons. As he continues to put together the facts he discovers in his excavations, he is forming more of a picture of where dragons and the planet may be going depending on what decisions are made today.

Because Tyrant works so often in the cold, he has to make sure his body is protected. Besides his warm layers of clothing, he has specially-spelled ‘heat waves’ that emanate from the claw tips he constantly wears. The grasping hands are pulses of energy sent out from the talismans to help keep his extremities warm no matter how cold the weather.

While it is slow and sometimes frustrating work piecing together the past from fragments, Tyrant can’t think of anything else he’d rather do. Whenever he stops in at Chaotic Daydreams to thaw out for a while, he makes sure to consult with the other scholars in the lair so that his research is preserved… just in case.
