B I O G R A P H Y

One Fated To Be Kind

______ Tirya and Epps
Born on Valentine's day, and bearing the color of love herself, the clan values Tirya as their love counselor and more charming dragons. They utilize her enormous amounts of charm often, sending her to other clans as a peace negotiator. It almost always works. She leaves a string of hearts behind her wherever she goes, and the shards of broken hearts often prod her feet as she travels, making her step lightly. It would not do to break the heart of yet another. However, there is one heart she has touched, that has not broken. She returns to it often, light caresses, ever so mindful of its fragility.

______ It was an ugly thing. Scarred, brittle, and dull. No doubt it had once been beautiful, the lingering feeling of radiance surrounds it, the only remnant of its former self. But now, it was held together with safety pins and duct tape. It belongs to a Wildclaw just as dull and broken. They are one and the same, he and that poor heart. It is his, and he is its. One could not go one without the other, so Tirya cares for them both equally.

______ She enjoys her time with him, the Wildclaw named Epps. Although his hide and heart are dull, his personality is anything but. He is grateful for everything he has, no matter how big or small. He wears a strange collar at times, something Tirya doesn't think she will ever understand, but she does not pry. Sometimes, when she notices him fall deep into thought, his heart darkens, and a small crack reopens, threatening to shatter what was left of that sad excuse for a heart, but, then, he looks at her, and suddenly, that crack heals, seals up like it was never there. It interests her, draws her closer, and she spends more time with Epps. So much time, in fact, that she forgets about his heart. It's still there, without a doubt, but it fell into the back of her mind, replaced instead by the humble Wildclaw that charmed her so well without even trying.

______ So when her eyes focused on a brilliant white star, she was understandably quite astonished. Why would such a thing be linked to- But it wasn't a star, no. Closer inspection revealed it as something she would have never expected. Taking it into her claws gently, the shine dulled slightly, not an indication of negative emotions, but as a simple reaction to someone touching it. In her grasp she held the most beautiful, radiant heart she had seen in her entire lifetime. Epps

______ Gone were the safety pins and duct tape. No more were the webbed cracks and dull color. A full transformation had occurred. Something had changed him entirely. Perhaps, by some miracle, could she have done it? Was she capable of doing that?

______ It took her only a few days time to discover she could not magically repair one's heart. So how had his healed so quickly? By the time she returned to his side, his heart had dimmed significantly, and she raced to him. She watched with astonishment as his heart brightened the instant he saw her. She stopped in her tracks, ad the heart dimmed as a look of hurt confusion crossed his face.

______ With a laugh that carried all the happiness she had ever felt in her life, she came at him so fast, she could not stop, and barreled into him, knocking the both of them over.
She had caused his heart to heal. Not magically, unless one would call the power of love magical.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ Ever since she fell for Epps, Tirya has been a hopeless romantic, for no one but him. Other dragons often catch her daydreaming, something she almost never did before. They have slight concern for her, but most of them seem to know what is going on, and 'casually' poke around to see if they can unearth a name. They never quite seem to get a straight answer. "He has a radiant heart, so bright it's nearly blinding." She says. Unfortunately, other dragons can't exactly see their hearts.

______ She dreams about what it would be like to live beside Epps. To talk to him daily, to be the one to make him smile, to stand with him beside her for such a long period of time. She knows she will probably never get that chance, but she simply can't squash her hope, no matter how stressed she becomes.

______ Sometimes she observes all the little things he does. Like how his mouth turned up at the corners when ever he said a word that started with H. She likes how whenever he stops walking, he doesn't fidget. He stands stock still, no movement other than the rise and fall of his chest as he breathes. Hauntingly still. But sometimes, something feels off about it. Almost like someone taught him to do this, and enforced it. He seems tense whenever he does it. It kind of makes her heart hurt.

______ Her love for him is nearly tearing her apart, and now, she is as frail as spider-webbed glass, the slightest tap could make her shatter. But now and again, in the presence of Epps, she becomes strong as steel. She's aware that poor Epps probably doesn't even have a clue of what she is going through, but in a weird, almost sadistic way, she hopes he is going through the same pain. Because that means he loves her too.
