She was named Yarrow for a healing herb with pink and white flowers. She loved the scent from the first time she came across some as a very young hatchling. A strong, proud Wildclaw. Her parents believe that her hatching on Valentine's Day is what led to her gift, being able to sense soul mates. She wasn't a very good matchmaker at first, however, as although she could sense which dragons belonged together, she tended to be too blunt and just state that a pair of dragons belonged together without giving any explanation. She is also fairly impatient, wanting dragons to find happiness now rather than dancing around the issue. Once she found Limonium, however, things began to fall into place. He balanced her out, her opposite in so many ways, and some claim that the phrase 'opposites attract' was thought up with these two in mind. Their business took off once they learned how to work together, and they have traveled all over Sornieth to help dragons find their soul mates. Some dragons have taken to writing letters to them, asking for their advice, and Yarrow tends to let Limonium handle that. Yarrow loves to give advice, of course, but Limonium gives her words a prettier package, and he is the best with words out of the two of them. Yarrow is better with a quill, however, so Limonium usually asks her to copy out all of his corespondence, as she is the only one who can read his chicken scratch. She would never forget their first meeting, however, and it would hold a special place in her heart until the end of her days. Limonium and Yarrow had both been restless, and thus they had both set off from their respective clans. There was a pulling sensation in their chests, dragging them both toward the same point. Neither had met the other until that moment, but looking at each other from opposite sides of a clearing, they felt as though they had known each other for their whole lives. Later, they would laugh over how they acted, all but falling over themselves to meet in the middle. Later, they would come up with a way to make their first meeting, their first 'match' arranged due to their gifts, sound much more dignified. There were quite a lot of things that they would do later, not the least of which was finding a new clan to call home for them both and opening their own matchmaking service, but for now they settled down to get to know each other. At some point during the, fairly lengthy, conversation, Limonium started humming along to the song that the birds nearby were singing. Yarrow was the one to suggest that they start dancing, despite the fact that the Coatl's humming sounded extremely odd to the Wildclaw. It was an odd pairing, given how much taller Yarrow was than Limonium, but the Wildclaw just held her smaller partner close and Limonium enjoyed the opportunity to cuddle up against his larger mate. | xxxx |
