The sun burns her skin and eyes, but that never stops Carmilla from wanting to see it. As a vampiric spawn, her body wasn’t designed for light exposure. Her amphibious skin dries and cracks under the sun and the light blinds her. After slowly exposing herself to the light, however, Carmilla gained a tolerance that enabled her to wander during the daytime. She often travels in the shadows that other dragons cast. She cannot speak to them, but she has learned to write in draconic languages and communicates by carving words onto stone with her claws.
