we lie beneath the stars at night "young blood" - the naked and famous
seris was born to an all-water guardian clan. no one knows what happened to her birth parents, as her adoptive parents found her egg all alone somewhere off the coast of the starfall isles. out of the kindness of their hearts, they took in the young arcane girl and raised her as one of their own.
her new parents.... certainly tried their best, but the clan couldn't just ignore the fact she was so different from them, though not for lack of trying. seris herself could easily see the difference between them and her. she was a very curious little drake, often asking questions after questions after questions. as a child she also felt a special connection to the stars, though not really understanding why.
the dragons of her clan were cryptic and mysterious - the oracles even moreso - and at first, this didn't bother her, but as she got older she started to poke at the mysteries, prophecies and such and came to find out that no one was interested in actually solving them. this horrified her. it was actually driving her mad how... unbothered the elders of her clan were about it. thousands of unsolved prophecies equal thousands of wasted opportunities to her. the other dragons were always just content to wait for the answer to reveal itself through time, but seris was exceedingly impatient.
as a kid, she would visit their library and read until her eyes strained, then enthusiastically shout her theories to anyone who would listen. her favorite text is a record of a prophecy from a very long time ago: that of something referred to as "the star", which is said to grant one's greatest wish. she took this text and as many others she could steal the night she ran away from her clan. she left only a note explaining that she loved her family, but she wasn't content there and it was time for her to move on.
she travelled all around for a little while, simultaneously trying to decipher as many texts as she could. they eventually led her to the starfall isles, where she met nyx, found a cove to live in, and started a family. that is where she can still be found along with her ever growing "starseeker clan".
