This is the first word Louis writes when he wakes up in the morning.

"Communism."

That is the second word he writes. Then, he tears the paper in half, and tries his best to find a way to make the tears fit upside-down. In doing so, he has discovered that Gramsci is right in her assumptions of a cultural hegemony in socialism, disproven Marxist humanism, proven that pipes are cooler than cigarettes, and outlined the true forms of power that are established in ideology.

Then he sits down, has a cup of tea, sleeps with a female, refills his pipe, and goes back to his writing.

Sexual intercourse is a fleeting vortex of carnal passions in a never-ending tempest of political torment, caused by a dragon's reason, and its ability to apply this reason to its surroundings.
