“Ships are my arrows, the sea my bow, the world my target.”

Born in the Tempest Clan of the Fortress of Ends to the main Hatchery Groundskeeper Dalia and her mate and helper Gareth, Gilmore had an easy childhood filled with a fair amount of attention and love. Though he was loved and rarely alone with his sister, Gilmore grew to have a love of dramatic gestures and theatrics along with a powerful love of trading. As he grew, the young skydancer grew bored of his family's lair and the thought of following in his parents footsteps. Instead he dreamed of other lands outside the unending ice and snow of his mountain home, slowly looking to find a way to remove himself from the lair without too much of a fuss. His chance rose when a passing group of merchants caught his attention during a mild winter day. Finding that they were looking for new members to train in their trade, the young skydancer leapt at the chance, wishing his parents and sister farewell and leaving along with the merchants as the market day ended.
For the next few years the young dragon travelled with many groups of merchants, learning the trade and slowly making himself known within the trade groups and along the routes they took. His dream of seeing other territories were now a reality and the nothing seemed to tie him down even with the idea of being a traveling merchant slowly dwindled away. It was during one of the routes that the group passed a seemingly strange section of the Windswept Plateau. While most of the traveling band continued on their merry way, Gilmore slowed and then stopped, examining the almost unnaturally quiet section of path. Lingering on out of curiosity, the young skydancer soon found himself drawn through what proved to be an invisible barrier into an expansive clan home. Struck by the beauty of the land, Gilmore continued onward into the new land until he stumbled upon another young Skydancer who introduced herself as Allura who was out gathering herbs needed for a spell she was working on. After a brief conversation, he was brought back to the clan's main home and introduced to the leaders of the clan. Though warily accepted at first, Gilmore has grown into the clan's most skillful merchant who could potentially sell sunlight to plants. This talent often means he's the one out selling items to other clans, or offering trades if straight buyers cannot be found. In his time with the clan, Gilmore has grown close to the lovely young Allura, and the two plan to mate when they're both ready in the future.
