First in Command Gladiator

B I O G R A P H Y

Having resided in Nature Flight her whole life, Quickscales was utterly shocked when she was required to partake in the Plague Flight, though she refused to complain or express her discomfort. However, before this switch she had previously taken a mate whom she simply had settled down with, rather than taking her own personal happiness into account. The female had several hatchlings with the brute, though a majority of them were forced into exaltation before they'd even the chance of reaching adulthood. The offspring were swiftly ripped out of her grasp, leaving gaps in her heart as she had never formed a strong bond with them and was disappointed that she hadn't.

Though she wouldn't admit it to her mate, the fae felt relieved when she was granted the opportunity to leave, due to the fact that he had been having offspring with other females whilst she proceeded to watch over the eggs. This behavior stung Quickscales' pride, yet she didn't feel heartbroken, simply detached. Upon arriving to her new Flight, she was surprised by the difference in setting as opposed to where she previously had lived. However, she didn't mind it as she was well aware that in her heart she knew that she had to be a warrior, just as her mother had told her. Unfortunately, Quickscales is still unknowing of her mother's whereabouts, heedless that she had passed away due to starvation soon after a majority of her hatchlings had been exalted.

The wildclaw particularly took an interest in a male going by the name of Robinhood, who was depicted as calm and generous, whom conversed with her about his dreams and goals. The pair began to grow close, bonding through secrets that they told nobody else besides one another, as well as evident trust and safety they felt when near. After a while they settled down together, raising two offspring together. However, things shortly went downhill after the siblings were to be exalted.

B I O G R A P H Y

Pained by the sudden news, Quickscaled lashed out and attempted to stop her children from leaving, though it was already too late. Robinhood decided to comfort her through these rough times, saddened by the situation as well. The two hesitantly went on to have a few more offspring months later, the female hatching two daughters and a son. Unfortunately, these younglings were exalted swiftly as well, causing the female to act distant emotionally. Then was the turning point; Robinhood was expected to leave after the lair had gotten much too crowded. With a heavy heart, the brute left his mate, stating: "Be a warrior", then departing forever. From there on out, Quickscales held grief in her heart, often wasting the days away consumed by her own misery.

Due to her heartache, the female formed a close bond with the clan leader, Peppercorn, because of the loss of both of their mates. Understanding the wildclaw's pain, the fae prompted her to focus on her rank as to block out the constant hurt, discovering that she belonged as a Gladiator. This is where she earned her scar, as she was distracted for only a moment with distant memories, an aggressive foe swiping at her eye. However, the dragons in her clan insisted that in no way had it marred her beauty, simply further proving her courage. This never ending bravery eventually landed her a spot as first in command Gladiator, as she also held the highest battle level as opposed to those in the colony.

As the female proceeds to improve her battle skills day by day, she is now at the point where she can tolerate the depressing memories, though deep in her heart she's aware that nothing will ever numb the pain. As she remembers her fallen hatchlings and mate, the fae chooses to honor their memory, the hope that they are still alive and fighting never fading.
