Biography
Groff is a grumpy old man who enjoys complaining about anything from the weather to the state of the economy. He always moans about his aching bones and creaking joints, and even though he annoys the younger dragons to no end, he is very much loved by his clan.
In his youth, Groff was a keen botanist, fascinated by the growth and spread of nature. While on his travels around the world, he met his mate, Lulu, a mycologist in search for new and exciting breeds of fungi. They decided to travel together to the shadow realm so that they could study together.
Now, Groff really is a little stiff in his joints, and finds it difficult to get around. He prefers quietly tending to his kitchen garden to gallumphing around the country side and has an extensive sock collection. He is still very sharp, but sometimes 'forgets' his childrens' names, just to watch their reactions. And he does forget where he last put his glasses. A lot.
His scarf was a present from Zdeno and Landy in an attempt to shut him up about the cold. It didn't work, but he loves it very much and hardly ever takes it off.
His familiar is called Scritch and was a present from Lulu on their 100th anniversary.
