Dae is a trader by name but a trickster, ironically, by trade. He's known for peddling strange and wonderful wares, for very reasonable prices. But somehow, his most expensive and delicate trinkets seem to go missing!

The truth is, Dae was born with very powerful magic. Being of the Water flight by birth, he is very dextrous with his claws in creating shapes of water vapor. Then, with the right touches of magic and reflecting light, he causes these shapes to appear as very valuable and powerful objects.

Under Yamanu's guidance, he doesn't use these tricks very often - only on those that truly deserve a little punishment. Within the Kingdom, they know Dae's tricks, but fall for them more often than most would like.

Dae doesn't mean any harm by these tricks, but they are his favorite thing to do. Often they get him into trouble with other Clan leaders, for although he targets the most expensive objects, he often uses his illusions to steal expensive objects. Several times he has been dumped at Yamanu's feet with a debt to pay, or even in shackles.

Dae is hardly fazed by these troublesome acts, and gets right back to work. He's a constant source of entertainment for hatchlings and older dragons alike, and has his claws in everyone's business simply because his illusions are extremely helpful.

A jack-of-all-trades, Dae finds himself most at home hawking his wares around the Viridian Labyrinth, but rarely travels outside its borders. He has friends in many Clans, and is very good at making new ones.

Dae doesn't know where he came from. Yamanu and Anthean found him abandoned at a young age and so they took him in and raised him. He is something of a son to them, not that any of them really acknowledge it outside of Dae's teasing nicknames for them - playfully calling them "Mom" and "Dad" when he's been caught playing tricks.

Yamanu tolerates the young dragon's tricks, and wants to encourage him to use his magic in the ways he knows best - that is perhaps why Yamanu is seeking a trainer for the young bogsneak, to teach him to use his illusions in defense of the Kingdom rather than to bother others.

Dae, somehow, does not see the Miasma. Perhaps it is because it has chosen not to bother him, for he is not a threat - or perhaps it is because Dae is a powerful illusionist.

King Yamanu must be vigilant, if he wants to protect young Dae from the Miasma's plans.
