Biography

Rubyglow grew up in a war zone, the child of two medics. Her parents followed the army, and she went with them.

They might not have taken her if they'd realized she was an empath. She felt the pain of every dragon on the battlefield.

One day, she learned what it felt like to die.

Her parents were attending a severely wounded soldier. She could feel his heart driving the blood from his body. And she could hear him whisper between growls, "Help me... help."
Her mother told her to go get something, but she couldn't stand up, she was trapped under the pain of the soldier. There was clamor and commotion, people shouting, the soldier gasping out words, and then sudden quiet.
She could move off the ground then. But her arm was burning, she looked down and saw the word
