Opaline came to the clan when she was still quite young, though the world she had seen prior to her arrival had aged her far beyond her years. The coatl did not have an easy youth, having been lost from her parents when she was barely a few days past her hatching. The young dragonling was saved from the elements by a traveling band of dragons, but their benevolence had a short life and she was dropped at the closest settlement shortly after. Opaline had to scrounge to stay alive, to survive in the world that is not so kind to young orphans. It had made her tough, this life.

After a bit of an uproar between herself and one of the merchants' kin, Opaline knew she could no longer stay within the settlement. She had to leave before she came to a short end herself, and in the dead of night she snuck out and into the wilderness. Living in a city was a bit different than the forests and plains that made up most of Sornieth, but she persisted. Still not even an adult dragon yet, she was not about to submit to the fate that seemed so against her.
