Biography
Tenilia had wanted to be a mage, and that was the start of it.
Tamra was not exactly sure what to make of this. Guardians aren't usually mages, after all. Fae are mages. Skydancers are mages. Occasionally Pearlcatchers or Imperials are mages. But Guardians, for the most part, aren't mages. Tamra supported her daughter anyway, but she wasn't sure exactly what she could do.
There were... issues, at first. Jarith was always there for Tenilia, when she was feeling restless.
Things settled down, after a while, but Tenilia never really shook the feeling that something was wrong. She tried to go on her Quest, but it never worked. She grew more and more discontent as time went on, until the rest of the lair thought that she would leave, permanently, at any moment.
Then Tamra came home, arms full of a scroll. Tenilia came up, asked what it was, but some sort of strange certainty was circling through her mind.
Tamra explained that it was a scroll (Tenilia knew that) to turn the dragon who read it into a Fae. Then she yelped in surprise as the scroll was yanked out of her arms.
All the yearning had vanished, and Tenilia knew what to do. She raised her voice to say the words of the scroll, and somewhere her keening turned to a flat chanting. And then she was complete.
