Said to be the bringer of life for Talon's Edge, little is known of Asherah's beginnings--her history is steeped in the unknown. Before her arrival, life struggled to find a foothold in the hard valley. The barren land was unforgiving. Then one hazed morning, Asherah appeared as if the desolate placed had called for her. Quickly following her arrival, the rain fell and from the earth sprang the Fount--the first waters to bless the land. With the waters came life, plants and fauna were drawn to the solace the newly awakened oasis provided. There are some who believe Asherah came to Talon's Edge to find solace for her aching and wounded spirit; and that it was her tears of sorrow that birthed the Fount and in turn breathed life into Talon's Edge. When asked if the story is true, she simply gives a small, curious smile.

Today, Asherah continues to watch over and guard the Fount, protecting its waters and the source of life for Talon's Edge. Many view her as a matriarchal figure for the clan and even seek her blessings. Very little makes it past her vigilant gaze. Her devotion as the warden and keeper of the Fount is matched only by her compassion for the inhabitants of Talon's Edge. While she says very little, she always has a gentle smile for those who visit her grove. Any who have met her can attest that, though she may appear young, she possesses a very old soul. A lucky few have even sworn that she whispered a few words of wisdom to them when they sought her council.

No matter what proves truth or fiction, all know that disturbing the Fount and threatening the careful balance of the oasis that is Talon's Edge invites her swift retribution.
