When the second age fell, the young gods had nowhere to go.

Their worshippers all vanished, their tombs obliterated - the falcon-headed god called Horus stayed with his father, Osiris, for a time, tending to the underworld and the mass amount of dead that were filtering in after the calamity that claimed their civilization's livelihood.

When he finally emerged from the realm of the dead, the massive pillar had already fallen, and all of his followers were long dead; his temples long abandoned. Horus found himself with no power - the sky he had previously ruled over was alive with the wings of dragons, beings foreign to him.

He clung to the only soul in the world he knew - Anubis, the judge who allowed souls to enter his father's realm. Together, they found solace under the harpy goddess, Talona, who took pity upon them and promised a return to power if they aided her in vengeance against those who took up arms against her people.
