Mandragora is one of a pair, his brother being Nightshade. As their mother, Gwynfor, is the poisons master for the clan, they quickly gained the nickname the Toxic Twins. They bore the title proudly, for they were the only ones besides Papa allowed in Mama's workroom.

Their mother was quick to train them in her art- three days out of the egg and they were helping her grind up dried ingredients. Because of that, both siblings are now highly skilled in the art.

Upon their mastery of the craft, Gwynfor decided they would be of best use in other clans. Namely, Vaher and Crowtalon, two allies and fellow members of the Council.
