Nayeli
Their mother had been very sick after the hatching of her three beautiful bight Sparks. Her illness was almost crippling her and she could not look after her young ones. Hunter, their father could not stay to watch over his young as he had been recalled to his home in the dwellings of the Icewarden. The clan where lost for what to do about the hatchlings, for their clans minders were already sitting upon nests of their own and those who where not, where out scavenging or fighting with rogue beast clans encroaching upon their borders. Not knowing what to do and unable to care for the three new mouths to feed the decision to find them new homes was made with a heavy heart.
Nayeli clung to her brother’s and when strange dragons had come and said “that one” pointing to one of her nest mates randomly, she immediately dived in front blocking her sibling from view and baring her razor sharp teeth. Know one knew what was to be done but it was clear the hatchlings would not be parted from one another so the clan would have to rely on the kindness of others and hope that someone would take all three together.
As luck would have it the clans wishes were answered in the form of the visiting Matriarch of the Larine. A fellow Lightning clan who’s interest in the three identically gened and coloured Sparks was apparent. Nayeli squirmed and bared her teeth at the visiting matriarch as she was lifted to eye height for a better look: “I like this one she has spirit and clearly is protective of her nest mates. We will take all three of them” the matriarch had said “We of the Lightning Catchers are eternally grateful to you and your clan my lady” Omoikane the Lightning Catchers representative had said as he had taken her hand and kissed the back of it ever so gently, and that was that.
Nayeli and her brothers where taken away to a new home not too far from their old clan as the fates would have it. Upon their arrival they were rushed to a room full of dragons and a ceremony to welcome the new hatchings to the clan got underway.
"We of the Larine thank the Stormcatcher for your arrival.
We ask his blessings for the Lightning that runs in your veins.
For you are blessed,
For you are Larine." .................
