Biography
Firstborn of Shadowstorm and Frostflower, her parents followed an ancient tradition in conferring her name: as the eldest daughter of an eldest daughter, she would be the clan’s heir. And as the clan’s heir, she would carry a name that was a combination of her mother’ and father’s: thus, Stormflower. If she tended to be true to the stormy aspect of her name over the floral aspect, no one ever pointed this out to her face; doing so would surely merit a swift blow to some tender region of the body.
Fierce (like her mother), aristocratic (like her mother), and warlike (like her mother), she had a healthy curiosity about the coliseum as a hatchling.. When her childhood playmates Hecate and Porphyrion wouldn’t let her go in alone, the three of them became the clan’s first team of warriors. Despite their unorthodox methods, they became the first dragons to reach level 25, and thus the first true providers and protectors of the clan. This is a duty which Stormflower continues to take seriously, overseeing the training of future warriors and attendants of the Windsinger.
Though her mother is still the clan matriarch, Stormflower assumed most of the leadership duties at a fairly young age. Unlike her mother, Stormflower has strict attention to detail; one might say that she derives joy from (micro)managing the clan’s affairs. However, as the clan has grown, she has become fonder of delegating duties to others: notably, building and repairs to Nightsea, and food management to Glosswing. Though she no longer has such a heavy hand in managing those thigs, Stormflower still congratulates herself from time to time on a job well-delegated.
