Tietjen, along with Envy, is one of the two founding members of the clan's defenses. However, fighting does not come easily to the wanderer. Tietjen is an amiable and inquisitive wildclaw, enjoying exploration over his duties (he often disregards Gaia's orders). While he is often doing his own thing, he can be found training clan members in the art of combat or trying to sooth the irritable Envy.

Tietjen blew in from the Windswept Plateau to the labyrinth after traveling through the Scorched Wasteland and Dragonhome (neither of which were to his liking). He found the lush vegetation of the Viridian Labyrinth quite enjoyable and joined a native clan where he settled down with a mate. During the plague of rot, the life of his mate was taken and his offspring scattered to the wind.

Unaffected by the rot and not prone to overwhelming sorrow, Tietjen has made looking after Envy his primary task in the clan.
