claudia rivertrek is among the most accomplished and decorated of the 5 arkhaean generals. now in her middle age, she has fought for the burrow arkhaeion within the ice flight and across sornieth. she has something of a nationalistic streak, and has since childhood looked up to the proud tradition of the arkhaean military, even above the literary traditions for which the clan is known.

claudia is close friends with first marshal platine prismstone and the two have served side by side for decades. trusted by platine for advice, claudia is the assistant chancelier of defense in all but name, prevented from the official role by her caste. she is close with her extended family with whom she lives, including oisele, an arkhaean ranger who considers claudia a motherly and mentorly figure.

claudia hasn't seen her birth clan since she was a child; she's not sure it exists anymore. all she remembers of her last day there is chaos and destruction– fire and disease. luckily, distant arkhaean family in the burrow let claudia's family find asylum here. despite hatching on the other side of the realm, this is the only home claudia could imagine. she is an arkhaean through and through, and even considers most comments about her element personal insults. 		xxx
