These bumble beans are best known for their scrumptious midnight moonflower honeycakes which sell in markets across Sornieth for up too 50000gold a peice! Its a luxury that is highly sot after and many have tried and failed to discover their secret recipe!

These unusual Bumble beans love to roam around and play under moonlight. Do to their parents encountering a piece of Shade, their skin is much to sensitive to the light of day and sometimes slightly darker in color then the original banana, white, black bumbles that started the bumble bea snapper frenzy. They've adapted to their dark habitat by forming a sort of echo location system of high and low frequency buzzes so that they can 'see' in the dark. This provides a sort of music in the misty night air that is very eerie and melodramatic to beings that are not used to it and has even contributed to the gloomy strange tales travelers have made if they strayed by a swarm. That isn't to say that these bumbles aren't friendly, their just generally cautious around strangers till they've studied their intent. Spy moonbeans will even hide under carefully woven cloaked to make them practically invisible against the dark forests and skies to give them an advantage. Though if your a friendly traveler with no harm intent you've got nothing to fear. However, these bumbles are fiercely protective of each other and will give a nasty sting if provoked. Even so, it is warned that you should not go by a hive even with good intent when the moon cannot be seen above the clouds. Every New Moon all moonbeans become restless and savage creatures to anything not touched by shade because without any moonlight the spec of Shade inside them surrounds their soul. Some have even killed their best friends without meaning too; that's why moonbeans return to the hive the day before the New Moon and outsiders get a hearty warning.
