-The Soul Mates-

An older couple, Reef and his mate Atlantis have been together for years. They are the classic soul mates; one is not whole without the other. Though they both have their own duties within the clan, they hate being apart from each other for long. Reef is one of many scouts and guards within the clan. Within the top ranks, he leads his patrol around their territory and keeps the lair safe from intruders. When not nesting or rearing her young, Atlantis also acts as a scout for the clan. She is often paired with Reef on patrol, searching the waters with ease. She also has a keen eye and can spot trouble from miles away. Every dragon thinks they are the perfect pair, both in work as well as off duty.

The couple met on patrol, when Atlantis was just a rookie scout. The coatl soon fell for her commander, who was newly appointed to the position himself. In spite of some mild flirtations and swim meets, the pair tried to remain friendly yet professional, keeping the lair free from danger. Yet once their clan mates started talking about the couple, they could no longer ignore their mutual affection for each other. Reef asked Atlantis to be his mate, and the couple have been together ever since.

Reef and Atlantis have raised several hatchlings together, and have plans to raise many more. Though their children have left to form families of their own, they are proud of the wise and genteel dragons their hatchlings have become. They have also been mentors to many young dragons, in patrol work as well as relationship counseling. The best advice they can give is to find someone you share the same ideals with, who will be your best friend, and who you can see spending the rest of your life with.
