Solei

Solei flew across the territory of the clan. His gaze was set upon three female dragons who haven't taken a mate yet. One was Petal, the other was Raven and the last one was Shadow. The drake suppressed a grin. Petal was your average dragonette with pink scales. He admired her greatly but what about Raven? She had a strong spirit and was filled with determination. He also admired her. And finally there was Shadow, Raven's beloved daughter. Shadow had the same spirit as her mother but was a bit kinder. He didn't exactly admire Shadow, though.

Raven had recently been very close with Samurai. He always flinched at the sight of the two, knowing that they would make a pair. He knew they were destined to become mates. That only left with Petal. Petal was very gentle. Her voice was soft. She was beautiful.

He came up to the pink dragonette and greeted her.
"Hello, Petal."
"Hi."
"How's life as an herbal?"
"Fine."
There was silence for a few moments. Both dragons avoided each others' gazes.
"How's life as a talon?" she finally said.
"Umm... Good, I guess?"
More silence. Petal must've gotten incredibly bored because she flew to tend to her fellow comrade.

He let out a heavy sigh. It was quite difficult to think of something to say to her. All he wanted was to be Petal's mate or Raven's mate and have dragonets of his own. All he wanted was to have a life where he was in love. He was walking around the lair when he heard those words. Words that shot him like arrows.

"Raven... I really, really like you very much and I'm not sure you'd accept but..." He pulled out a very beautiful flower from behind him. "It's a daisy. I just want to say... Will you be my tail-mate?"
Immediately Solei's eyes shot open.
Please say no, please say no!
Raven gasped and grinned.
"Of course I will, Samurai!"
