Iridessa's family is bright as all get out, a refreshing change from all the blank ice and snow from her homeland. When her brother, Iris, started considering getting out of there, Iridessa leaped at the chance. Don't get her wrong, she enjoyed her home, but it felt stale to her. She traveled with Iris for a while but was not ready to settle down in a clan- while he stopped at the Sea, Iridessa went on into the Shifting Expanses. The Expanses was a lot more than she expected, stifling heat and cold winds, little resources and the spots where they were seemed miles apart. She flew for days, just wandering around and keeping out of trouble as much as she could. Some of the dragons she came across were hostile, some were friendly. By the time her stores were low and she was feeling the exhaustion of travel, she came across a canyon that, curiously enough, had the remains of lava flowing down it. Ruse was the first one she met. The gentle giant saw her approaching the clan and flew up to meet her, offering her a place to stay if she was willing. After a quick meeting with Larventi to confirm the same, Iridessa agreed to stay for a while to recover. "A while" quickly became "permanent resident" as Iri found herself making friends and taking part in caring for the clan. Iri offered to help with gathering, hunting and training when the opportunity came up- she's not one for camouflage but she knows that she's strong and capable. This meant that she had to work under Ruse, Strieza and Bea, all of which she admired from affar, so soon enough Iri felt like she was a part of the clan. Bea and Gael were just getting together then. Iri learned shortly after that (and after seeing Bea in battle) that the lava was caused by her when she lost her family.
