While Silas and Marx became fast friends absolutely no one can come between his new family. He vowed that anyone abandoned shall be under his wing, thus he quickly became a big brother to Camilla, Leon and Elise. Lay a claw on them and face their wrath. A family that fights together stays together.
He has a soft spot for Elise and is weak to her will. She can often drag him into dances or activities with her.

"I had arrived here as a diplomat but when my own escorts, sent to protect me, attacked with no reason did I understand the truth of this trip. My parents wanted nothing to do with me. I am the youngest of many children, I was not expected to amount to anything. My mother and father are warriors, strong and friece. What would a son like me contribute to them, they who have more worthier successors.
They sent me to a clan in the middle of a territory far from home. They lead me out to be slaughtered in a quiet clan where word wouldn't spread, where they could wipe the whole location of the edge of the earth.

NOTE: Marx was not abandon by his home clan. His escorts were plotting against him from the start. They had wanted to bring him to "the land of trade" to break him and sell him as a decretive slave to a high class dragon.
He was loved by his parents and siblings very much. The captors used lies and tricks to break his mind to where he believed no one cared for him and that he was weak to the clan. They did this to make him fall more willingly into their clutches with less of a fight. Being the son of two warriors he can hold his own well enough 2 against 1.
The vile escorts escaped back to his homeclan lying and saying that they had been attacked and while he fought hard, he had died. While Marx stayed behind to be cared for and to become apart of this new clan ages away from his own.
