Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this quite fellow wandered a little too far from his home lair (Emme666, 296031), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

Journey Beginning:

First time parents Wairuo and Chiana had found a lovely mountains with a beautiful view of the great ocean, where they had thought that it'll be a brilliant place to welcome their five children into this world. The very night they had estimated for their little ones to hatch a large great typhoon storm had started to arrive near their den. Quickly the Chiana started to gather the eggs to the back, the storm had now sweep into their den before she was able to get to her last child. No choice but to do her best to protect what's left of her eggs; while Wariuo was out scavenging for food; she look at the four eggs she was able to protect and can only look out longingly in the direction her last child was swept out of from as she shield the remaining ones with her small frame.

As our unnamed child tumble down from the mountain top by the storm he had started to hatch by the consent hammering of the fall onto his delicate shells egg, plopping into the great sea he had finally hatch from his egg only to that he who has just barely hatched into this new world was all alone on the vast blue without parents or siblings; scared, tried, cold, and hungry he cried out a heart wrenching cried, In hope that someone would hear as he floated further and further from home.

x Days Later..

''Young one, what has happened to you?''

The Snapper blinks out the saltwater from his eyes, and awakes to a Pearlcatcher looking at him pitifully. The Pearlcatcher had a grey complexion, but his face was covered by a cowl, making the Snapper nervous. He didn't know how he was going to trust a Stranger, especially one whom bore a hood.

The Pearlcatcher must've sensed his worry, because he slid the cowl from his head to his neck.

''Do not worry, young one. My name is Orion.''

Capucine was found, washed ashore - and he had tried to adapt to the life in Ashfall Waste, but he just couldn't. His true heritage belongs to the Wind, and a life on the ground just didn't suit him. His new clanmates must've felt the yearning inside of him, because they understood when it was time to let him go.

6 February

Capucine arrived in the Water Flight and found a friendly clan. The dragons were surprised to see that he was traveling alone and decided to let him stay with them. He was very glad and played often with the other hatchlings. Capucine and Petra, a female snapper, became friends.

He was very happy, he feels the clan like a home. But he missed his parents, he wants to know how they are and if he has brothers or sisters.

Capucine decided to leave, hoping to see them again.

12 Feb

Capucine's next stop was with a lesser lair of the Zephyr Steppes. The quiet, rolling greens were only steps from his birthplace -- but that was something he could have only guessed from dreamlike glimpses of infant memories. A Storm Seeker circled overhead as he traversed the windy plains.

Upon his arrival at the Bergamot Accord -- a proud series of burrows dug into a shallow steppe -- he was approached by a looming Guardian, with colors much like his own, but bright red eyes. The guarddragon Ipanema hissed from beneath her ravenskull helm, "What is your business here, youngling?"

The young Snapper scrambled back from the hellish rainbow of a Guardian -- every other lair had welcomed him with open wings. He attempted to stutter out an excuse, but before he could answer the steadily-approaching Ipanema, a duo of herb-laden dragons rushed up behind him. An unusually large, fragrant Mirror laid a claw on his shoulder; the Wildclaw beside him, who appeared as if he was one with the herbs he carried, apologized, "We came as swiftly as we could, visitor. There was little time to warn our guard."

The Mirror bowed his head and offered a gift: a bright orange hibiscus.

"This is Fruitsalad. He and his mate are the leaders of these burrows. He has given you his blessing. You are free to stay, if you wish."

Though Capucine was not certain he "wished," night had fallen, and the encroaching sounds of beasts inclined him towards even a floral-scented, snake-filled burrow... so long as it was far from the Guardian's nest.

***

After a night of rest, Capucine sought ways to return his host family's (delayed) hospitality. However strange the Ambergamot Accord was, with its hanging sea snakes and interesting fragrances, the Zephyr Steppes felt much like home, and he felt a mighty urge to explore this place full of dragons with eyes like his... It was decided that the yound Snapper would apprentice under Fruitsalad and Iceyes -- the Accord's resident diplomat -- and learn the ways of Wind combat: fast, quick, and speedy. He was a fast learner, taking down enemies more than twice his strength with the help of his teachers, and was awarded a dandy bandana for his effort and work.

After everything, however, he couldn't shake the feeling that while this *felt* like home in a way his previous lairs hadn't -- the fresh breeze on his wings, the balloons cascading above -- it didn't feel... right. He resolved to move on yet again, under guise of night.

3 July

Capucine had been travelling for months around the land, he'd made his way back to the Windswept Plateau. He had not given up on the venture of finding a home and stayed as detrmined as ever. It had started storming so he found shelter in a cave for the night. He laid his head to rest, unknowing that his struggles and search would soon end.

A little away, in a clan, a colorful skydancer watched the rain intently. The fae who was with her spoke as he watered some potted plant.

"Is something wrong Ezili? You've been staring at the rain for the past five minutes."

"Something is coming Cormag," She replied in a hushed tone, "Wait no... not something... Someone."

Cormag set down the watering can an looked at the skydancer.

"Well that's more forward than most of your prophecies," He commented, "Are you sure?"

Ezili looked away from the rain and at the fae.

"Since when have I been wrong?"

9 July

Capucine wandered around when he heard voices, in a panic he hid in some bamboo. Approaching him were four dragons. There was a blue and white coatl who had a trident at her side, a fae with flowery wings, a brown imperial who walked close to a shining blue coatl.

"And that was when Relic lost it-"

"Wait, Terra, be quite," The dark blue coatl interrupted, before looking directly at Capucine, who held his breath. It was then the other three dragons noticed him. The dark blue coatl narrowed her eyes.

"I know you're there."

Capucine slowly stepped into the open. The sky blue coatl ducked behind the brown imperial shyly. The darker blue coatl steped forward.

"Who are you and what are you doing in our territory?" She asked harshly.

"I-I'm sorry, my name is C-capucine, I was just passing through," He replied shakily. The fae stepped in.

"Kaunotar you're scarring him!" The fae said, "I'm Cormag, nice to meet you."

"But he's an intruder! What if another clan sent him to spy!" Kaunotar retorted.

"I don't have a clan," Capucine replied. Cormag looked at Kaunotar, who relaxed.

"Y'know, a few days ago Ezili told me we would get a new member, and she's never wrong," Cormag said to the three other dragons.

"We should take him back with us," The imperial offered, "I bet Pixal will let you stay with us."

"Pixal?" He asks.

"Our leader," she replies, "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Terra, and this is coatl next to me is my girlfriend Songbird."

"Nice to meet you," Capucine said, "And I'd love to come with you."

He followed the dragons into a clan's camp. They led him to a den. Inside was a female tundra who was lightly colored with swirls busy at a desk.

Kaunotar cleared her throat, "Pixal."

The tundra turned around with a smiled. She put her goggles on her forehead.

"Oh! Kaunotar, Cormag, Terra, Songbird! I didn't hear you come in! Oh, who is this?" She aked, her green gaze falling on Capucine. Terra nudged him forward.

"I'm Capucine, nice to meet you," He said, kind of nervous.

"Pleasure to meet you Capucine!" Pixal replied, "What brings you to Ventus Corda?"

"Well, I was wandering around and just stumbled upon your territory. I don't have a clan you see," He explained.

"Hmm, no clan? I'm assuming you're here to ask if you can stay here?" Pixal asked, Capucine nodded, "Well, I guess we have room for one more."

And with that Capucine had found what he had been looking for. His journey had finally ended. For the first time in his life, he was home.
