Eudialyte

Eudialyte is a mysterious figure, face always hidden and turned away from those around him. He is the figure drowned in blue sorrow as sweet as honey and deafened by the accusations of those that had never understood him, had never bothered to even try. He barely speaks, won't make eye contact - many of tried to get past his walls, but his heart and his mind stay firmly protected from prying eyes.

Rumors about the clan's sky watcher are abundant, but very few ever strike a kernel of truth. He was an outsider, shrouded in darkness and breathing disease like it was air, his eyes twin rubies in the gloom of the night; he came boding bad news and hissing prophecies under his plague riddled breath; he ran from somewhere far away, and he brought war and devastation running doggedly at his heels.

In truth...Eudialyte came from another clan - one he indeed ran from - where he was a much beloved prince. When his mother became ill, his father took on another mate, one who wanted nothing more for herself to be ruler. In the night, she had slain both of his parents and had attacked him, scarring his face and tearing a jagged hole in his left wing. His injuries healed, but the scars on his face are emotionally painful, for they are reminders that he abandoned his home, his people, simply because he feared death.

So he hides, he hides his face and his heart from those he cannot trust, and he never goes back to the place his life was destroyed; if he did, the last shreds of his sanity might go with it.
