History
Serenade has always been acutely perceptive of love. Even as a child she could appreciate the bond within mates and help dragons find the love(s) of their lives. She has a weakness for happy endings, and despite others’ possible misgivings, she never uses her magic on anyone without their permission. Even then she refuses to force dragons to fall in love with each other. She only works on enhancing the feelings already there, allowing them to grow and nudging them to the forefront of a dragon’s mind.

She truly believes in love and happiness, and though some dragons have urged her to make a business out of it – and make a fortune off desperate dragons seeking company – she refuses to do that. Only those within the clan, and close allies, know of her special abilities and Serenade would like to keep it that way.

Personality-wise she is a very warm and kind dragon. Because of her fiery origins some dragons describe her as ‘a candle in the dark’, comforting and shining light to those who need it. However, just as fire can be nice and happy in the form of a candle or a destructive inferno as wildfire, if she gets angry she has no mercy to those she razes down.

The one dragon Serenade cannot work her magic on is herself. The only thing she knows about her love life is that it will never be stable. She will never get her own happily ever after with a single mate. She believes that the Flamecaller designed her that way on purpose to eternally remind her of humility. Yes she can do this wonderful thing that can bring happiness to others, but at the cost of her own. It doesn’t bother her anymore. Many dragons are attracted to her and she feels terrible about breaking their hearts inevitably, so she rarely ever reciprocates their advances. It’s better that way.
