There's a magic in the moonlight
A time when fairies come out to sing
There's a certain comfort
In the shadows darkness brings

There's a excitement when the night falls
There's a waiting for the moon
A time when the nightingales sing
And butterflies creep from their cocoons.

Here is the land of fairies
A land of magic, hopes, and dreams
Here is a land of love and wishes
Where the moon shines over everything.

And so many have wished to gaze upon this country
This land of magic and dreams galore
Yet so little can hope to find it
For it denies you if you wish for more

But there's a child different from the others
One who was once a mortal in the past
He lives in the fairy land as a reminder
That even the kindest ones can be outcasts

He was born abandoned and unwanted
By those meant to give him a home
They discarded him before he opened his eyes
And left him all on his own

So when he opened his eyes for the first time
He was met with nothing but the night
Accompanied only by the stars above
And washed in the moon's silver light

For days he wandered in the forest
A young child surviving on his own
Searching desperately for something that was missing -
Something that might've been a home

For weeks he wandered in the forest
Watched over by the sun and the moon and the stars
Yet he always looked on the world kindly
Even when hope seemed so far

One night he stopped in his wanderings
To smiled at the wind and the birds and the trees
He listened to the singing breeze and sighed,
"I wonder if someone out there cares for me."

Then the fairies came for him
On wings of crystalline gold
Swept him up in their silvery wake
And poured magic into his soul

They took him to the land of fairies
A place where only the purest can reside
"You don't need others to care for you,
"If you'd just look deep down inside."

There's a magic in the moonlight
A time when the cool breezes start to sing
And if you look ever so closely
You'll see him flying with the fairies.
