Like Rocket, Iolanthe has a double role. She is an alchemy student, although her alchemy is still in its early stages.

Unfortunately, she is also the clan's cook, and she invents alarming concoctions. Most clan members prefer to find or make their own food, and while none want to hurt Iolanthe's feelings, they all take care to warn traveling dragons and beastclan members to avoid her cooking. She makes good tea, though. Luckily, there's a good restaurant a short flight away.
From this traveling dragon's lore:
How fortunate that his first stop was a school of magic in the Cloudsong. Or, at least, so it seemed. The alchemy teacher, Iolanthe, doubled as the school's cook. He quickly figured out that Iolanthe did not know how to cook. A few days later, he figured out Iolanthe didn't know how to do alchemy either. Eventually, he left to see if he could find someone who actually knew what they were doing.
