Pox

Pox was worn down and tired after traveling with Carmine to her new clan. Jokaia was waiting there, a solemn expression on her face.

As Carmine, Synthesia and Carcinoma walked ahead, Jokaia stepped in.

"Pox, you know... I'm sorry. I was just... Hungry..."

Pox squeaked, backing away. Something wasn't quite right.

"You know... I'm still hungry..."

Pox tried to wail for help. "Carmine!" she rasped. "Carmine!!"

"Silly marshmallow." Jokaia suddenly grinned, grabbing Pox by the tail.

"You shouldn't have screamed."

Tossed into the air, Pox attempted to scream and ended up choking on the humid air instead. She grasped her neck, and prayed that Carmine would save her once again...

Pox felt the firm grip on the back of her neck, and she was suddenly able to breath again. Carmine placed her gently on the ground before flying up and smacking Jokaia on the face.

"Jokaia, that's enough! Don't come back until you've eaten a full meal!"

Pox, meanwhile, continued to break rapidly. In, out, in out...

Carmine settled down next to her, after Jokaia had flown away. "It's alright, we'll protect you. You'll be safe."

Nodding, Pox passed out from fear and exhaustion as Carcinoma and Synthesia watched over her.

Carmine saves the day again and everyone hates Jokaia.
