Biography

Aeryn The Ramblings of the Untamed Seer declare, Doll, eliminate, compassionate, awful, blindly, dolphin. 
Don't tell Valkhuna, but Aeryn managed to sneak out of the nursery almost every single night. It wasn't on purpose, at least, not at first. Whenever she fell asleep, she turned into a stingray that could glide through the air like it was water. Her dragon body stayed behind, asleep in the nest, and at first she was afraid. But after she woke up after flying back into her body, none the worse for wear, she decided that being a stingray was actually kind of fun. She went back to sleep, and was swimming around in circles when a glowing blue butterfly suddenly appeared overher younger brother. It didn't take long for her to realize that Giddel also had the ability to leave his body whie he was asleep, and togther, the two of them conspired in small musical noises to learn more about their powers, and, more importantly, to escape the Nursery without getting caught. This part of the plan was surprisingly easy, once they figured out that they could swim through the rock walls like they weren't even there. They spent so much time exploring the clan's cave system that, when there were finally old enough to leave the hatchery, they almost got themselves found out. They kept forgetting to pretend that they didn't know where to go. But no one ever figured out their secret, because who would even think of it? This was the first time anyone in the clan had ever developed powers such as theirs, so there was no reason to suspect anything. All through their childhood, they watched thier older brother, hoping that he would show signs of the same powers so that he could join their nighttime expeditions. But no glowing animal ever appeared while he was asleep, and when they hinted at the possibility that he could share their powers--without explicity outing themselves, of course, because secrets were more fun with fewer people knowing them--his only reaction was, oddly, fear. Whenever the conversation drifted towards dreams and sleeping, he would clam right up, and make an excuse to leave. Aeryn didn't let his fear tain her own joy, and spent her time practicing the slowly budding abilites she was discovering while in her Manta form. If she ever decide's to join another clan, she hopes that she'll find other dragons there who share her ability, or at the very least, hopes that there will be someone she can share it with. |
