 Blackice Name meaning: Blackice Dayguard battlemage, Shadow, Imperial.

Parents
History Blackice joined the Clan as it travelled through the tangled wood. A battlemage, she joins Ruby and Twilight in the daytime guard, and fights with a combination of strength and raw magical power. Being a shadow-elemental Imperial is perhaps strange, but she doesn't let that stop her and her ethereal trickster playing pranks on the other members of the guard. Born of the tangled wood, Blackice grew up twisting and dancing with the shadows, playing tricks on those that passed by her way. Over time her swirling spells caught the attention of an Ethereal Trickster whose territory overlaid hers, and it began to follow her. She and the Trickster played pranks on each-other, and soon began to work together on pranking others. They became fast friends, and Shiufsil has stayed by her side ever since. One day a clan travelled along one of the wider paths that ran though her territory - part of a throughroad from the Sunbeam Ruins to Dragonhome. This clan was lead by a young nature elemental pearlcatcher who seemed wholly at home in the darkness of the tangled wood, and this peaked Blackice's interest. So she followed, always hidden, the only sign of her presence being the regular pranks the travelling clan found played apon them. One day the travelling clan was attacked, and without knowledge of the area or many skilled fighters they had a hard time defending themselves. Seeing this, Blackice chose to step in. The shadows rose to her call, and ensnared the attackers. With the attackers slowed the clan was able to fight them off, and once safe they looked around for their saviour, but could not find any-one. It was a few more days before Blackice chose to reveal herself to the Clan. She was nervous - she'd hardly socialised with other dragons before, preferring to stay hidden - but her staff of dark twisted wood and the cowl that hid her face gave her the confidence to enter. Though, she mainly entered to chase down Shiufsil, who had grown tired of her dithering and decided to make her enter the Clan. She found herself accepted amongst the ranks of the Clan, and agreed to escort them to the edge of the Tangled Wood. But when they got there she found herself curious about what lay outside and so stayed with the Clan, following them through Dragonhome and over the water into the Starfall Isles, where she still resides with the Clan to this day. |
Lore
Although perhaps more comfortable with the shadows of night than the light of day, Blackice works closely with her friends Ruby and Twilight in the dayguard, keeping the clan safe from those that may attack at day. She is a battlemage, using magic and physical attacks in tandem to fool her enemies and bring them to their defeat. In her spare time she has a tendency to play planks on her clanmates - but these pranks are in good spirit, and never do harm. She knew the veilspun before they revealed themselves to most of the world, due to having a similar nature and living alongside them. She is particularly good friends with a veilspun named Saliantha. Abilities Shadowbind: Dark tendrils rise from the shadows and ensnare the victim, trapping them. Trick: Varies, causes confusion. Shadowdance: Dances though the shadows, becoming hard to hit. Shroud: Summons a dark mist that blinds the victim. Scare: Inflicts fear apon the victim. |
