It is not always that calamitous beginnings forge a creature stronger after than she was afore -- And Mab is just one such example. Perchance these rocky starts do too much damage, too deeply, too early for the end product to ever be redemptive, but it is not to stop the Clan Angakkua from trying.

Mid-spring, when the valleys run red with blooms and the streams roam free throughout, Mab is delivered to them by way of an Imperial the exact shade and temperament of a redwood giant. He does not stay to chat. He drops off his cargo without a word. In the carrier basket with her is a letter, unsigned but for a sack of golden coins.

“We cannot help her,” it reads. “You must.”

Mab is a bundle of curiosities and peculiarities. For a Skydancer, she is a small thing. Impish and coy, always feigning at innocence even when her antics are long since laid plain. She is awake only at dawn and dusk, preferring to nap away the days - most especially the blustery, dark winter ones. She has no patience for snow and little more for rules and restrictions. Her hands are sticky and her small cottage in their tiny village is often full of the glittering, mesmeric shiny things she has stolen from others.

But oddest of her traits is her relationship with the tiny and unseen. She is never alone, but rather always part of a group; always chittering; always giggling at jokes only she can hear. Alone in a field she can be found whorling on her own. Toppling, tumbling, loping gracile with her wings outstretched and her face turned to the rising moon. Laughter rolls from her chest in long, mad curls.

There is no music save her own. It is all she needs.
