______ Mirrors are travelling creatures, and Midnight was no exception during the first years of his life. He was a strong, healthy dragon, and it looked like nothing could stop him. Being part of a strong pack, fear and loneliness were alien concept; his companions followed him everywhere, and nothing could stop them. It was safe to say he was happy and desired nothing more in his younger age.
That was, at least, until something changed his life.

______ Challenges were scarce, if not absent: the hunger of more than twenty mirrors was enough to scare away any enemy, and the few opponents that initiated a battle never lasted long. As Midnight grew older, the predictability of their fights began to grow inexplicably boring; not even the food and treasures they obtained was enough to placate his spirit. He a young adult at the peak of his life: the realization living with his pack would have trapped him in that routine bothered him.

______ At first, accepting his desire to part was hard—those who willing left the group were often considered weird—but the dragon thought about constantly, when not busy challenging something or someone. A smaller pack sounded like a better deal: with only five or seven companions, it would have been easier to raise as an individual. He wanted to be regarded as the great warrior he deemed himself to be, after all.

______ Yet, the courage to leave never came. His departure was a mere accident—though, later, he would have negated it—almost a joke of fate: Midnight injured himself in the heat of the battle, and as it’s normally happens, found himself left behind. He was rescued by a local clan, who mended him. His wounds weren’t critical, so he recovered quickly. The leader of the clan, Ferdinand, a peaceful tundra, informed him he was free to go. He didn’t leave.

______ The clan lacked warriors, and he saw it a sign. Midnight officially joined them, deciding to fight and live alongside dragons of other species. Getting used to the new life-style wasn’t easy, but he had no regrets. As the clan grew, he ended up becoming one of the most influential dragon, being the leader of a small group of fighters issued with the important task of fighting the invaders and the beastclans.
He even had few eggs, but only one of his children, Victory, decided to stay with him; the others left, hoping join a pack of Mirrors.

______ Midnight is a strong willed dragon, extremely proud of his career and clan. Though he might appear harsh at times, he tries to be kind to his clan-mates… unfortunately, Mirrors can have weird idea of what this means. He’s very close to his son and most of the dragons that fight by his side, and often helps training the new recruits along with Akkylis.
